Monthly Seminars

The Training program sponsors seminars once a month during the academic year (on a Thursday). The seminars feature local speakers as well as national and international invited speakers. Click here for seminar listings, both current and past.

The seminars are organized by Mr. Rob Reedijk (rob.reedijk@utoronto.ca). Suggestions for speakers are always welcome. Please contact Mr. Reedijk if you would like to invite a speaker.

Annual Retreats

Each year the program holds a retreat which gives Trainees and Mentors from all the labs an opportunity to interact.

Trainee Demo Days

The Program Trainees have begun a series of demo days. The first one was led by grad student David Tulumello (Deber/Prosser) on Monday, January 25, 2010 at the Hospital for Sick Children. Mr. Tulumello demonstrated steady-state tryptophan fluorescence spectroscopy to the other participating Trainees. Future Demo Days will be organized by Grad Student Program Advisory Committee member Sacha Larda.

Biennial Meeting

International conference in protein folding to be held every two years in Toronto. The conference will involve members of the CIHR training Program in Protein Folding and other invited speakers.
