Proteomics and Bioinformatics
Many research groups in the Department are exploiting computer based approaches to the study of biochemistry.

Proteomics research focuses on the analysis of large sets of proteins expressed in single organisms or families of similar proteins expressed in a variety of diverse species.

Bioinformatics studies include the construction and application of new databases, modeling protein structure, molecular evolution, and the visualization of molecular interaction networks.
