Department of Biochemistry Golf Day

August 24, 2010

Don Valley Golf Course, Toronto

On a perfect sunny day, Golf Day Organizer Brad Poulsen is set to go (although the small bag he's carrying looks a bit suspicious).

Don Valley is a beautiful course but is really, really long - as Sian Patterson discovers on only the second hole.

Angus McQubban gets ready for another perfect chip shot, encouraged by teammate Jay Yang.

Chair Reithmeier shows his usual great form.....

...and exceptional promise in a second career as caddy.

On such a narrow course there are many hazards but David Williams never expected that Toronto's summer construction would reach into a golf course!

With deep undergrowth lining narrow fairways, found balls were few!

Allen Volchuk is a study in concentration
as he lines up another perfect putt!

The tallest member of our tour, Bill Trimble barely fits into his photo.

Sian Patterson takes aim at the geese below
(no geese were injured during this shot)

Lori Rutkevich shows the form that ensured her team
used 10!! of her tee shots in our best-ball format.

Mod Rujiviphat lines up a chip shot on 18

Dave Davidson displays the calm confidence that
propelled The "Little" Team to an impressive 2nd place finish

Frustrated with losing yet another ball,
David Williams considers baseball instead

Heckling from the cheap seats!

In best-ball format, even putting is a team effort
(it breaks to the left, right?)

Reinhart Reithmeier and Sian Patterson find a shady spot for a break

Lori Rutkevich and David Williams enjoy the beautiful scenery in the Don Valley course (although they were cursing the water hazard moments before)

Hey guys...in best-ball you shoot one at a time!!!

Ahhhh.....the perfect end to a warm sunny afternoon!
