Despite the early hour, a cheery group gathers at the MSB in anticipation of a sunny and warm! Ski Day!

Hmmmm - we're here at 6:30, why does the bus pull in at 7:00?????
Ah, well nothing can dampen our spirits as the sun starts to rise.

Bus driver, Jennifer, takes us on her own secret tour of
Northwest Toronto before finding highway 400.

Sian Patterson not only co-organizes Ski Day,
she keeps us well pampered on the road -
food, coffee, movies - now that's luxury!.

Arriving at Blue Mountain, the sun comes out
and stays with us all day.

Even the endless rental lines can't keep the smiles from
Emmanuelle Cordat, Eva Amsen, and Susan Bustos.

Tim and Lori Rutkevich seem to have the ski thing figured out
but Sian's priorities seem a bit askew - cell phone and no skis!

Riding the lift on a glorious day.

King-of-the-mountain, Angus McQuibban, enjoys the view
(or perhaps is contemplating that last wipe-out!)

OK, so the vertical isn't much, but the scenery looking
over frozen Georgian Bay is spectacular.

Swapping stories over lunch - (l to r) Angus McQuibban, Patrick Kim Chiaw, Lindsay Porter, sister Lisa Tsang and Chris Tsang.

Such a warm day, Angus, David Williams and
daughter Lauren enjoy lunch in the sun.

Blue Mountain offers lunch breaks for many tastes - here
Emmanuelle and Susan ham it up in town posing
with an ice sculpture.

Sometimes only a strong cup of coffee will do the trick -
Mike Folinas enjoys his mid-day break.

Back up the hill for more fun in the afternoon.

Chris Tsang finds that the munchies can hit anytime.

The shortest run of the day....

Beautiful scenery below the lift on the L-Hill.

Skiers get a visual treat before each run.

Mike Folinas and friend Dino still look like they have
lots of energy at the end of the day.

Sunshine makes the classic end-of-day ski ritual
that much sweeter for Angus, Lauren and David.

A tired but very happy crew of biochemists head back to Toronto.

A big thanks to Sian and Karen for a terrific day!
