Ken Lau was awarded the Beckman-Coulter prize for best student publication of 2007.

He presented his paper entitled "Complex N-glycan number and degree of branching cooperate to regulate
cell proliferation and differentiation" which was published in Cell, vol. 129(1), pp123-134, 2007.
